I think my views are slightly different. As my own marriage not only shows my union (not same sex) but denotes my legal standing. The amount of tax I pay, my pension, insurance and will are affected by my marital status. Therefore I think that people who share their lives together should have similar protection, especially if children are involved. As for whether it is morally right - it wouldnt be for me, but it is not for me to judge either.

Of course, any two people, whether male and female or homosexual, living together in sexual union without benefit of marriage is wrong. Adultery and fornication are wrong no matter who is involved. "A man shall leave father and mother and cleave unto his wife and the twain shall be one flesh" It was Adam and Eve and not Adam and Steve from the beginning of mankinds creation.
