Have never lived any other state or country. The taxpayers of my state afforded me a free highschool education. They also paid two dollars for every one that I spent on college and graduate school. I felt a strong commitment to pay them back by staying here and being a contributing member of society. I moved to another city and taught school for thirty years, then moved back to the same section of the state in which my parents and inlaws lived. That put us in a position to assist the people that assisted us through our youth. Have never felt a pull to go anywhere else. Also, I have found that traveling is basically not worth the trouble and expense.

My father always said,"the best trips are those that get you home by dinner". (dinner is the noon meal in this part of the country)

I have to disagree with Jim. Had I not travelled across the pond, I wouldn't have met the lovely people I did and I wouldn't be writing this!
