You're payments to SS was suppose to pay your SS benefits, but hey they govt went and used that money for something else and now the next generation is paying it, and so on, and so on. The govt gets its hands on some money and they just have to spend it. This is why universal health care is going to work so well.

Good point Spaceboy, My generation's SS paid my parents and grandparents pension, If congress had done what they were asked to do then we would have had a good system that was pay as you go. It was supposed to be untaxed, and set aside so congress could not touch it.
